We are a community of teenagers who love God and love each other! We meet every week to encourage, play, grow, and learn together. Come check us out, we would love to meet you!
When a student walks into Youth Group we want them to leave knowing two things.
1. We want them to know that they are loved (First by Jesus and then by us).
2. We want them to know that they are not alone. This is something that we focus on each week.
We focus on having a Gospel Focus, facilitating Community, and allowing space to question and work through things.
A Gospel Focus
This is all about Jesus. He is the reason that we do this. Everything that we do needs to be rooted in Jesus. We love our students because Jesus loved us first. When we teach, we teach in a way that includes Jesus and what he has done. If we talk to a student about a struggle they are having, we contextualize the Gospel to that struggle. And when we play games, we play with the joy of the Lord and with good sportsmanship (Titus 3:3-11).
When each teen enters our gatherings, they are known by name, they feel like they are wanted there, and they are comfortable being themselves and being the way that God has wired them. This will be facilitated in the environment we create, how students feel when they enter and when they leave, and the depth of their small groups (Hebrews 12:1).
Freedom to express doubts / questions
We want students to understand that expressing their doubts and questions is not a bad thing but actually the way that we grow and learn how to understand our faith. We want small groups to be a place where students can ask the real questions, tackle the real issues, and get introduced to a real God.
