What is a City Group?
A City Group is a small group of people within Rock Hill where we gather together to live out our core identities as disciples of Jesus. City Groups are places where we care for one another in a community that feels like family, commit to intentional growth in maturity, and live on mission toward those who do not yet know Jesus.
Every City Group looks a little different, but all of our City Groups are unified around three main rhythms:
- Family night: We gather in peoples’ homes to talk about life, study the Bible, and pray together.
- Mission time: We set aside intentional times to serve people both inside and outside the church.
- DNA groups: A Discover-Nurture-Act group consists of 3-5 people of the same gender who meet regularly to form deeper relationships and encourage each other in their faith.
We know it can be intimidating to choose a City Group, especially when you don’t know many people at the church. The easiest way to narrow down the list is to find the night of the week that works best and to find a group that meets near your home.
Once you’ve chosen a group (or a few to visit), go to the group’s page and click “Request to join.” The leaders will be in touch with when and where the group is meeting next.
If you still need assistance finding a City Group, fill out the form below. We’d be delighted to help!
If you are exploring Christianity or simply in need of community, City Groups are an excellent place to ask questions, make friends, and experience how Christians live. Most people in City Groups attend Rock Hill and participate in these groups to grow in their faith, but every City Group will welcome you no matter your religious background. We are glad you’re here, and we want you to feel at home here.
