“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will by my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
At Rock Hill we believe that God has redeemed us for a purpose. We have been shown grace in the Gospel so that we might share that same Gospel with those who don’t yet know Jesus. We have a passion to make Jesus known and because of that our eyes turn to the nations. There are roughly 7.4 billion people spread over 195 countries, speaking 10,000+ different languages, representing 16,500 people groups (Joshua Project). We believe that Jesus is a worthy Savior for all of those people, and so we make it our mission to reach those around the globe as well as Duluth.
Therefore, Rock Hill aims to educate and equip our church as we engage in God’s global purposes here and abroad. This is done through various mission opportunities, a monthly prayer gathering and training seminars. These opportunities can be found listed below and will be updated as events come about!
- FIRST NATIONS MISSIONS TRIP – JULY 26 – AUGUST 1
Nations One for Christ (NOFC) will be heading north for the 4th Annual short-term mission trip to Weagamow Lake July 26-August 1, 2017. We will host a 3 evening Bible camp/VBS event with the local kids while the parents attend Revival and Worship tent services. We’d like to engage in some activities with the parents and kids during the daytime as well. The cost to join will be approximately $500/person. If this is something you are interested in or would just like more information, contact Pastor Dave at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- SECRET CHURCH
(Next Live Simulcast April 20th, 2018, @ 6 PM)
Secret Church is David Platt’s version of “house church” where we will meet for an intense time of Bible study—lasting 6+ hours—including a time of prayer for our lives, our families, and our churches as we live out our faith in our skeptical culture. It is a live stream event where we will join thousands from 60+ countries tuning in. The event will be hosted at Rock Hill Community Church for four area churches.
