We believe that God has placed us in the city of Duluth in order that we might be a blessing to our city and to the Twin Ports region.

Rock Hill exists to multiply gospel-centered disciples, small groups, and local churches that bless the city, the region, and the world. Therefore, our local outreach ministry team seeks to model engagement in mercy ministries that bless our city, especially the Lincoln Park and Chester Park neighborhoods; we also aim to equip, encourage and develop avenues for our City Groups and members of our church body to do the same in a holistic way in the context of ministry teams. We bless our city by way of (1) intercessory prayer,  (2) mobilization, (3) empowering relationships with people in need and (4) compassionate engagement in local outreach in partnership with the following urban ministry partners:

God has also called us to minister to the physical needs of the poor in our city.  Therefore, Rock Hill is partnering with the Water’s Edge Community Church and Second Harvest to provide residents in our community with a warm meal every Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Rock Hill members serve the meal and interact with guests the 1st and 4th Saturday of every month.

God has called us to minister to the needs of the oppressed in our city. To that end, Rock Hill has entered into a partnership with Christians from area churches who are engaged in fighting the sex trafficking industry in our city.  The Love Justice team gathers the 2nd Friday of every month to pray and explore ways to care for victims of this industry in our city.

Prison Ministry

God has called us to minister to the souls of prisoners in our city.  To that end, a team of Rock Hill members leads Bible studies on Sunday evenings at the state penitentiary and on Friday evenings at NERCC.  We also seek to help Christian ex-convicts transition well back into society by assisting them in their search for housing, employment, and Christian community.
